I spent the better part of February designing and producing two new sewing patterns for stuffed animals. This one is my favorite - Oliver THE Rabbit. Yep, that's him! Hopping around and hanging out in my studio is way more fun now that he's here. Floppy ears, fat cheeks and a soft round belly - this lovable little fellow has it all.
In the beginning . . .
Progress . . .
Quite a lot goes into a sewing pattern: Imagine. Conceive. Sketch. Draw. Sew. Prototype. Color. Critique. Revise. Scan. Digitize. Print. Test. Photograph. Write. Organize. Link. Stage. Shoot. Edit. Stop.
And finally, the 22-page Instant Download Interactive PDF complete with easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions, nearly 90 photos to guide you, links, tips and full-size pattern templates!
Oh! I almost forgot. There's the mess along the way . . .
Worth every minute!
Just under seven inches, Oliver features curly posable ears, bendable arms and jointed legs that allow him to sit and stand on his own. His removable vest is adorned with appliquéd carrots and hand-made button closure.
Oliver the Rabbit makes a precious baby shower gift, nursery decoration or simply a treasured hand-made addition to any softie collection.
